NETWORKING

Career Quest 3Each year the AWC-Madison professional chapter sponsors opportunities for networking between students and area communicators. At previous events, students learned about professions in broadcast journalism, advertising, corporate communications, freelance writing/editing, interviewing, resumes, portfolios, and other areas of interest.

DUES

$60 for the year ($34 goes to the national chapter)
$45 for the semester

MEMBERSHIP

As an organization, we expect our members to

  • Attend at least three student chapter meetings
  • Attend at least one social event
  • Participate in at least one volunteer or fundraising event per semester.

In return, you’re invited to

  • Network with members of Madison’s Professional Chapter
  • Attend Professional Chapter meetings at a discount
  • Learn about internship opportunities
  • Take our Chapter trip to tour various communications agencies
  • Volunteer in the community
  • Take advantage of help preparing your resume and portfolio
  • Learn interviewing techniques
  • Meet women you’ll be friends with for a lifetime!
