Congratulations to Mary Mink and team members! Mary was on the three-person editorial team that writes, edits, and produces the Credit Union Executive Newsletter. The team was the recipient of the SNAP (Society of National Association Publishers) EXCEL 2005 gold award in the most improved newsletter category. The VP of Publishing for the Credit Union National Association wrote, "SNAP EXCEL 2005 received a record number of entries this year, totaling over 1130. Congratulations to everyone involved in producing these products, especially the extra effort and energy needed to survive a redesign process. There is no roadmap for success for a redesign. To be recognized as a national leader in this category, not once but twice, is a huge testament to the collective creative genius of this publishing group, and the innate ability to know what works and nail it.". Congratulations to Mary Mink, Senior Editor at CUNA & Affiliates for Credit Union Magazine and Credit Union Executive Newsletter. Mary was on the team that totally revamped the look of the magazine, and gave the editorial a total makeover. FOLIO: magazine awarded a silver award to Credit Union Magazine at the FOLIO: SHOW 2004 in New York City. Credit Union Magazine was honored for Best Redesign in the Business-to-Business category for publications of less than 100,000 circulation. Receiving nearly 1,050 award entries this year, FOLIO: magazine was created exclusively for magazine managers to help navigate expanding media options of the magazine brand. "With entries coming from Australia, Canada, China, Finland, Germany and South Africa, this year's competition shaped up to be one of the most exciting and competitive yet," said Linda Napiwocki, manager of design and production for CUNA. Congratulations to Sara Mackey, Marketing Communications Assistant for the Wisconsin Technical College System's Statewide Marketing Consortium. Sara applied for a Clarion Award for the Wisconsin Technical College System's multimedia campaign promoting online courses. The ad reaches out to the system's target market, primarily working adults and parents. Follow-up research demonstrates that the campaign has been particularly effective in reaching our audience with our tagline: "online courses for full-time lives." The campaign won an Honorable Mention. |
